The Hinen A Series all-in-one residential ESS offers the solution. Featuring a hybrid inverter paired with modular 8.9 kWh high-voltage batteries, it supports up to 6 inverters in parallel, with each inverter handling up to 6 battery clusters, providing flexible, scalable energy capacity for both homes and businesses.

 

Technology Insights

1,Parallel Technology (Inverters)

· Advantage: Supports 1–6 inverters in parallel, with total system output ranging from 3.6 kW to 150 kW. This flexibility makes it suitable for everything from household daily consumption to small-scale commercial power supply.

· Key Technologies:

- Grid-frequency and carrier synchronization: Ensure precise synchronization between inverters, avoiding circulating currents and unstable switching. Think of it as a conductor ensuring all devices “play in sync” for efficient power delivery.
- Wireless current-sharing: Eliminates physical current-sharing cables, simplifying installation, reducing cost, and eliminating faults caused by loose wiring. It also improves steady-state current balancing for long-term power stability.
- Master-slave competition: If the master inverter fails, it withdraws automatically, and a new master is elected from the remaining units. This design prevents system-wide failure and greatly enhances resilience.
- Sliding filter & virtual impedance droop control: Enable rapid, smooth adjustments after status changes, ensuring stable transitions during system switching.
- Load-bearing cold start: High-precision relays synchronize inverter switching, allowing the system to cold start under load without waiting for the equipment to stabilize first.

 

2. Cluster Technology (Batteries)

· Advantage: With modular stacking and cluster parallel design, each cluster contains 1–3 modules, and up to 6 clusters can be paralleled. Users can start with a single 8.9 kWh module and scale up to 160.2 kWh, ensuring reliable power even during prolonged outages or extreme weather.

 

· Key Technologies:

- Cluster-level passive balancing: Algorithms dynamically allocate load to avoid circulating currents, improving system efficiency and extending cycle life.
- Battery fault isolation: A “detect–diagnose–isolate–reconfigure” closed-loop mechanism quickly removes faulty cells while keeping the rest of the system running safely.
- Two-level balancing:
a, Pack-to-pack: Energy transfer and regulation via software, hardware, and inverter DC-DC to keep voltage differences within a safe range.
b, Within each pack: BMS monitors cell voltage differences and applies passive or active balancing circuits, preventing overcharge/discharge and improving overall pack consistency and usable capacity.
- Thermal management with adaptive algorithms: Since clusters can cause uneven current distribution and localized heating, adaptive algorithms adjust current flow and heating strategies to balance temperatures, enhancing safety and longevity.


Applications for High-Power, Large-Capacity Storage

1, Small Commercial Buildings

- Goal: Reduce electricity bills, and even profit from peak–valley price differences.
- Operation: Daytime solar covers building loads, with surplus stored in batteries. At night during peak tariffs, stored energy powers loads; any excess can be sold back to the grid.

2, Backup in Outage-Prone Areas

- Goal: Provide reliable backup power during grid failures.
- Operation: Daytime solar and grid power cover household needs, with surplus stored. At night, if the grid fails, loads seamlessly switch to battery supply. Capacity planning should consider local outage duration and critical loads such as refrigerators or medical devices.
